The world has demanded new technology on a regular basis, and with the new technology we see some changes in careers in the media. Media careers are not just in one area anymore. We see media careers going from an office setting to your home. Media careers are allowing you to sit at home and write, review, and even edit without going into an office.
Due to all the new devices such as iPads and smartphones, media jobs have grown. These devices require content to be added daily. We look for articles, news reports, and even advertisements on our new devices. People are reading the print newspapers less because of these devices. To keep all the news current on these devices, somebody has to write and edit the articles in order to keep up with the demand for this media.
Does this mean that the print media will become distinct? Will the only way to get news be from the internet via our computers or other devices? Really, we are not sure what the future holds; but there will always be news to report somewhere. The growth of technology will determine what the future holds as far as media careers.
